The shoe is being buckled

1, 2, buckle my shoe.

Well ... when the shoe is unbuckled it makes it soo much harder to move forward.

5, 6, pick up sticks.
7, 8, lay them straight.

I have a found a flaw in my otherwise flawless business plan. I didn't pick up the sticks, nor did I lay them straight. Those of you who know me will understand what I am talking about, and those of you who don't know me might understand this ...

When you start a new adventure ... it is best to get all your ducks in a row. Clean up the old stuff in order to usher in the new stuff with open arms and eyes wide open.

The first duck was lined up by completing the first ever One Blue Shoe Craft Extravaganza .... Thanks to everyone who helped with set-up and take down: (Tamara, Akita, Malika, DY, Kurt and Julia).

And thanks to all who came in, left with goodies and of course left their cash with me.

3, 4, shut the door.

Second duck will be set when "my talk" takes place. My mother would say that it is a bit like shutting the gate after the horse has already left the barn or in my case lacing the shoe after I have already tripped over the laces. My shoe will be buckled soon.

9, 10, a big fat hen.

You know the saying that "when it rains ... it pours", well I feel like a "big fat hen", cause the Shoe is feeling "fat" with jobs ... and the future looks really "wet".

Welcome to The Big Blue Shoe

Well here we go ... the new blog of the Woman in the Shoe.

Remember the old nursery rhyme of the Woman in the Shoe ... So many children that she didn't know what to do.

Well I have three children, two dogs, 4 and a half cats (and that is a tale for a later blog), and various "adopted" kids and adults coming and going from the Big Blue House.

We have a loving, warm, not always tidy home. So why am I blogging all this ?? Just to introduce you to the Home you will be a part of ... if you decide to follow along with our life in the Shoe.

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe.
She had so many children, she didn't know what to do;
She gave them some broth without any bread;
Then whipped them all soundly and put them to bed.

Well that is what the Old Woman did with her time ... Stay tuned and I will show you what this woman does with hers ...

Keep Calm, Carry On and above all Keep Crafting.
